Remarks will be given by Professor Milette Gaifman. Professor Gaifman is a scholar of ancient art and archaeology, focusing primarily on the Archaic and Classical periods. Her most recent book “The Art of Libation in Classical Athens,” published this year by Yale University Press, examines how the imagery of libations engaged viewers in religious performance.

When students are not playing or spectating, they are free—with their chaperone’s supervision—to explore Yale’s campus. Students are also strongly advised to eat lunch when they are not playing their preliminary rounds. Options and suggestions may be found here.
